The Word Shisha
The body, or govde, hookah consists of a curved building that holds water. A graceful stem rises from the body and the top of the stem is a bowl, or lle, which holds the tobacco. One to several pipes, marpuc with a mouthpiece, or possibly agizlik are used to draw the hookah smoke through water. The hookah tobacco is heated by charcoal filters and water and cools the smoke. The water gurgles gently, like a stream of wood, and in the process, the smoke, it is smooth and soft.
The word shisha, which is often another word for hookah, comes from a bottle or glass Persian meaning. Hookah smoking and the culture of hookah shisha is often called a hookah. Shisha are today in many styles, from Egyptian, Syrian, travel, and models mini mod for special and custom models. There is a world of history in the manufacture of pipe hookah. Traditional materials used in the manufacture of hookah were blown glass, often richly decorated in gold paint or enamel, brass, aluminum, silver, porcelain, terracotta, stone and wood and leather. All these materials are used in the same today, with the addition of stainless steel, Pyrex glass, plastic, rubber, acrylic and high quality, among others.
